On December 10th, Professor Luis Rouco Rodríguez received the IEEE PES Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award in a ceremony held at the Technical School of Engineering of the University of Seville for his contributions to the Analysis and Control of Electric Power Systems. He was presented with the award by the president of the Spanish Chapter, Professor Oriol Gomis Bellmunt, Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Professor Rouco delivered the lecture "The Evolution of the Stability Problem Over the Last 40 Years: A Personal Journey." In the nearly 30 years of the chapter's existence, Professor Rouco is the ninth recipient of the award. With this, three professors from Comillas ICAI have now received it. The previous awardees from Comillas ICAI were Mr. José Luis Torá Galván (now deceased) and Mr. Ignacio Pérez Arriaga.
