Biography:

I joined the IIT in September 2020, where I work as a Research Assistant in the areas of transport modelling, energy systems and energy economics. I combine the work at IIT with my doctoral thesis, which focuses in future mobility trends and the design and evaluation of the policies we need for a sustainable transition. I was born in Huelva (Spain) in 1995, and I have completed both my Bachelor’s (2018) and Master’s (2020) Degrees in Engineering at the University of Seville (Spain). During my Bachelor studies, I had the opportunity to do an International Double Degree with the École Centrale de Lyon (France), thanks to the T.I.M.E. network. Before joining IIT, I have done several internships related to mobility. At the time I was a student in Lyon, first I was part of the technical maintenance team for the high-speed rail line (TGV-SNCF) Paris-Lyon, and later I participated in a project where we created decision tools for the Lyon Smart City. In research, my previous experience has taken place in China and Norway. In 2018 and 2019, I was an R&D intern at the State Key Laboratory of Traction Power (Chengdu, China) in the project of the Superconductor Magnetic Levitation Train (HTS MagLev). Finally, in 2019-2020, I did my Master’s Thesis at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, which addressed the optimization of electric vehicle charging operation within the Smart Grid.
