Biography:
Álvaro López López is BSc and MSc in Electronics Engineering (2004, 2006) and PhD (2016) - Comillas Pontifical University (Madrid).
From 2006 to 2010 he was with CRISA (Airbus Defence and Space) in the Electronics Design Department.
During his PhD he researched in railway power supply system modelling, with focus on urban railway. He developed several approaches to represent the diversity in of metro systems’ traffic to make robust energy saving optimizations.
From 2016, he is a research fellow at the Institute for Research in Technology of Comillas-ICAI, and the research lead of the Smart Industry Chair of Comillas-ICAI.
His current research interests span across all dimensions of the digital transformation of industry, with focus on sample efficient deep reinforcement learning, artificial vision and synthetic data generation.
