Tomás Gómez, Ignacio P. Arriaga and Carlos Batlle have participed on the FSR Policy Advisory Council celebrated in Florence on 21 and 22 of November. This event gather renowned academics, experts from leading energy companies (being also FSR-Energy Major Donors) as well as representatives from the European Commission, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and National Regulatory Authorities.
Efraim Centeno Hernáez y Sara Lumbreras Sancho have participed in XVI Semana de la Ciencia 2016, held from 7 to 20 of November under the slogan "In a place of science ...". The Science Week of Madrid is an event of scientific dissemination and citizen participation organized by Fundación madri+d, in collaboration with universities and research centers. Thanks to it, the public is offered the opportunity to get a closer look at the work that scientists do, their research, motivations and efforts, to make known the latest advances in science. The Institute for Reserarch in Technology participates in the national project of EPOXIGRAPHENIT to achieve new composite materials. Thanks to the development of the research team of the university, led by Yolanda Ballesteros, a professor of Mechanical Engineering and researcher at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT), new composite nanomaterials (nanocomposites) will be developed with properties tailored to the requirements of the final application of use. In this project also participate Juan Carlos del Real Romero y Eva Paz Jiménez. The national project EPOXIGRAPHENIT is funded by the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad within its program Retos Colaboración 2016.
