Biography:
Jesus R. Jimenez-Octavio holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering (2004) and obtained his PhD (2009) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, receiving the Honorary Distinction to the best Doctoral Thesis on Engineering (2010) from the same university and The Talgo Award for Technological Innovation (2010) in the same topic. He currently serves as the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at ICAI – School of Engineering, and holds the position of Associate Professor in the field of continuum mechanics within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His primary research focus lies in the realm of Biomedical Engineering at the Technological Institute for Research, mainly on computational biomechanics and characterization of biological tissue.
