Biography:

Jesús José Fernández García is an Energy Product Manager at Axpo Iberia and a PhD candidate in Electrical Energy at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) of Comillas Pontifical University. His research focuses on the role of independent aggregators and the deployment of flexibility in electricity markets. He previously worked as a predoctoral researcher at IIT (2022–2023), contributing to the European projects BeFlexible and OneNet and the Spanish research project OptiREC.

He has professional experience in business development, public administration, and the aerospace, railway, and power generation and electrical maintenance (Endesa) sectors. He is the author of Jaula de Ardilla, a blog focused on energy-sector analysis, data and dissemination. He also serves as a reviewer for academic journals in the field of energy systems and grids.

He holds engineering degrees from INSA Lyon and Politecnico di Torino, where he completed his Master's thesis on the modelling and simulation of the Italian ancillary services market. He has complemented his academic background with studies in Economics (UNED), project management, and cybersecurity applied to power systems (IEC 61850).
