The Interdisciplinary Research on Socioeconomic Transformations area studies, from a comprehensive and rigorous perspective, the main challenges and opportunities facing our societies in a context of rapid change. Its objective is to generate and transfer useful knowledge that supports decision-making in companies, public administrations, and institutions, thereby contributing to fairer, more sustainable, and more inclusive development, while also driving the creation of shared value and promoting responsible and innovative responses to current global and local challenges. Research in this area uses quantitative, qualitative, and experimental methodologies to analyze, measure, and monitor contemporary socioeconomic transformations, with a special focus on issues such as sustainability, longevity, social inclusion, globalization, the 2030 agenda, and the impact of digitalization on organizations and society. Its interdisciplinary approach allows these phenomena to be addressed in a cross-disciplinary manner, integrating different economic, social, technological, and ethical dimensions.
