Biography:

She obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2003 and the Industrial (Electronic) Engineering degree in 1995 both from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI. She is currently a senior associate professor in the department of Computer Science of ICAI and a member of the IIT, coordinating the Railway Systems research group. Additionally, she currently coordinates the Master Degree in Railway Systems. She has worked extensively on research projects applied to the railway industry, mainly focused on the optimization of railway traffic planning and regulation, energy efficiency, and transport capacity by means of simulation modeling, optimization and data analysis.
