Biografía:
Álvaro López es investigador en el IIT y profesor en ICAI en áreas de sistemas dinámicos, regulación automática, electrónica e inteligencia artificial, con especialización en aprendizaje por refuerzo.
Es investigador principal de la Cátedra de Industria Inteligente, desde la que lidera investigación aplicada al uso de tecnologías digitales —IA generativa, visión artificial, agentes basados en LLMs, generación sintética de datos y entornos para entrenamiento de agentes— orientada a la mejora de procesos industriales en múltiples sectores.
Además, dirige los programas ejecutivos en inteligencia artificial generativa para profesionales en Comillas Onexed.
Su trabajo ha sido reconocido con la Mención de Honor del Observatorio de la Industria 4.0 en 2021.
