Biography:
María Reneses Botija has a degree in Psychology from the Complutense University and in Anthropology from the Autonomous University. Subsequently, she has completed a master's degree in Psychoanalysis and Philosophy of Culture (UCM) and another in Secondary Education (UCJC). He did his doctorate with a Jae-Predoc contract at the CSIC on biomedical intervention of social discomfort and community alternatives. She has done research stays at Columbia University (New York) and at the University of Berkeley (California).
Areas of interest:
Youth and online violence, community intervention, anthropology of health.
Experience:
She has worked as a researcher in research projects in labor psychology, education and mental health (psychotic outbreaks, self-injurious behavior and pathological gambling). She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the European H2020 RAYUELA project on minors and Internet risks. She has experience as a clinical and educational psychologist (as a school counselor). She has been a professor of Community Psychology at the UOC for five academic years and currently teaches Cultural and Community Psychology at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
