The aim of the project is the comparison between weakly coordinated and strongly coordinated regulatory models for the UCTE active power generation dispatch with a high wind energy penetration. In one hand, weakly coordinated model works considering constraints for international energy transfers. In the other hand, the strongly coordinated model considers the feasibility of the network from a global point of view. Due to this fact, the strongly coordinated model guarantees the system feasibility using a lower number of constraints than the weakly coordinated models, thus the strongly one will obtain cheaper solutions. Therefore, the purpose of the project is to compare both models, strongly and weakly coordinated, and check the strongly one provides a cheaper solution than the weakly one.
