This project is oriented towards the definition and implementation of a tool for operational risk valuation. The proposed tool is based upon developments carried out in the VALORE and COSME projects.
A large number of businesses carry out risk evaluation and management. In particular, highly sophisticated methods are employed for financial and, more recently, energy products (gas, electricity). It has been proposed to apply these techniques to electrical markets. Thus generation units can be treated as put options, together with other financial and physical assets, owned by the utility.
