The aim of this project is the development of simulation and control tools of dual voltage (25 kV ac and 3kV dc) railway catenaries. Electrical and mechanical simulation programs of high speed trains catenaries (25 kV ac) will be extended to handle 3kV dc catenaries. In addition, a control system of the catenary power switches in connection with the train signaling system will be developed.
