This study proposes a model of an ac arfurnace plants for power syste, stability studies. This study reviews the operation of an ac arc furnace plant. It also discusses the disturbances du to arc furnace plangts (harmonics and flicker). In addition, it presents the models used to evaluate such disturbances. As a results of these model, it suggests two modesl, detailed and simplified, to represent an arc furnace plant in power system stability studies.
