Funding entity OSINERG (Organismo Supervisor de la Inversión en Energía - Perú)
The Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Peruvian energy regulatory commission (OSINERG) wish to set up the necessary regulatory reforms in order to ensure adequate and efficient investments in electricity generation in Peru. A mix Committee is in charge of working on a White Paper to propose a Law to deal with it. The project first establishes a diagnosis of the present situation, trying to identify the regulatory deficiencies that impede right investment plans in the country. Then the project recommends and suggests regulatory alternatives to correct those inefficiencies and proposes adequate methodologies to guarantee an efficient electricity supply.
