Validation and test of the new timetable in Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya lines

The objective of this project is the validation of the expected capacity increased in the previous theoretical study due to the modification of the signalling system in Plaza de Catalunya, Provenza, Gracia and Sant Cugat. This validation is done by means of real measurements registered during commercial services, comparing the critical interval time between trains.
In this project the new timetable of 32 trains/hours is tested during 2 nocturnal tests sessions without passengers, and times and delays are analysed to validate its robustness. In addition, new Plaza de Catalunya track designs and analysed to verify the required capacity of 40 trains/h.
