This project will research into the application of Voltage Source Inverters with PWM for reactive power compensation (STATCON) and current harmonic elimination (active filter). This device would be useful to limit the perturbations caused to the grid by industrial loads helping to reduce grid pollution.
An advanced Digital Signal Processor will control the Voltage Source Inverter. The DSP will deal with the control algorithms and PWM generation.
This feasibility study will study the simulation results and draw up a program to carry out this project
