Consolidation and development of the model EXLA

J. García-González R. Moraga E. Parrilla

January 2004 - December 2004

Funding entity Indra-Endesa

EXLA is a long-term hydraulic model developed by the IIT for ENDESA. The main objectives for the present collaboration are outlined hereafter:
The developed tool will incorporate the particularities of each subsystem with the objective that the obtained schedules reflect the real operation restrictions imposed by the responsible authorities, by contractual agreements with other agents, etc.
On the other hand, the model will be adapted in order to consider the risk of deviating from the rule curves (risk of spillage and scarcity). The selection of the contingencies will be carried out starting from a statistical analysis of the historical series of water inflows.
Finally, the last requirement is the study and characterization of the hydraulic system of Portugal
