Structural calculation of reactors for rubber pyrolisis

The main goal of this project is the structural design of an experimental horizontal reactor for rubber pyrolisis with a diameter of 3.6 ms and 25ms long. For this purpose some models of finite elements, using submodeling techniques and plate elements, have been developed to simulate the behavior of the reactor under load conditions: gravity, vacuum, internal load (weight of the rubber), and thermal cycle from room temperature up to 550 C. The team plans to manufacture a prototype for the recovery of used tires based on the results obtained.
