The main objective of this project is the development of a short term wind generation forecasting tool based on artificial neural networks.
Short term wind generation forecasting models (up to 8 hours) use recent measurements of wind generation as input variables in order to improve the available meteorological forecasts. This improvement of the forecast accuracy can be exploited in the intraday electricity markets for reducing deviations between metered and scheduled energies.
