The aim of this collaboration is to conduct a quantitative analysis of the effect of Wind Energy in the Spanish day-ahead Electricity Market price, from the information published by the Market Operator (MO) and the System Operator (OS). In particular, it proposes to conduct two additional studies: (1) A simulation of the day ahead market clearing process, for different levels of Wind Energy production and (2) to identify a statistical model to quantify the average effect of wind energy on the Spanish day-ahead market electricity market.
