The overall objective of the study is to make an assessment of the regulatory framework and the effectiveness of the procedures and mechanisms put in place by the Government of Peru to increase the penetration of electricity generation from renewable sources. In particular, the study focuses on the analysis and critical evaluation of bidding schemes of new hydroelectric power and electricity auctions with renewable resources.
The final aim of this consultation is to draw all conclusions from the experience gained to date, and to provide recommendations for improving the design of both the institutional framework, as the regulatory framework and processes on which is built to promote energy renewable.
