Biography:

David Soler is the Founder and CEO of the Invesyde Group, which comprises companies in two main areas: on the one hand, the energy sector —developing their activities on data management, platforms and portfolio strategies, market simulation, regulatory analysis, training, and talent management—, and on the other, the production, processing, and commercialization of pistachios. The group also includes the Salvador Soler Foundation, dedicated to developing international cooperation projects, fostering political awareness through the Political Watch think tank, and promoting engineering, robotics, and technology among children through the ICAI Technology Campus.

At the same time, David has focused his professional activity on different aspects of the electricity business, from strategic consulting, asset and contract management, simulation and prospective analysis of energy markets, grid access and connection procedures, and electricity marketing.

In 2025, he was awarded the Entrepreneur Award by the ICAI National College of Engineers.

Until 2004, he was a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Systems at ICAI and a member of the Institute for Research in Technology, developing research and advisory projects on the design of market mechanisms for the provision of ancillary services.

David holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the ICAI School of Engineering (1993) and a PhD from Comillas Pontifical University, for his thesis (2001) focused on the development of regulatory models for the management of complementary services in a market environment.
