Biography:
Professor Luis Ángel Calvo Pascual holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Salamanca (2007–2011), a Master’s Degree in Mathematics and its Applications from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) (2012), and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from the UAM–ICMAT (2013–2018). Since 2019, he has been serving as an Assistant Collaborating Professor at ICADE (Comillas Pontifical University).
He has carried out six research stays at international institutions of excellence, including the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Bombay) and McGill University (Montreal).
His research activity encompasses both a mathematical and a medical applied component. On the mathematical side, he focuses on fiber bundle theory and number theory, particularly on problems related to the Markoff equation. On the medical side, his work explores the application of machine learning methodologies to the study of diseases, with a special emphasis on rheumatology.
