Biography:
José Rubén Pérez Domínguez holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering (Energy and Fluid Mechanics, University of Valladolid, 2017), a degree in Industrial Engineering (2011), and a degree in Industrial Organization Engineering (2013).
With over 12 years of experience in the energy sector, he has worked at Westinghouse and Empresarios Agrupados on thermo-hydraulic applications for nuclear power plants, solar thermal plants, combined cycle and advanced projects like ITER. He has also contributed to the design of cooling systems for nuclear microreactors and spent nuclear fuel.
As a researcher at the University of Valladolid, he focused on CFD simulation applied to hospital ventilation, gas turbine combustion, and ocean energy generation using OWC systems.
Since 2017, he has been a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the ICAI School of Engineering (Comillas Pontifical University), where he teaches and conducts research in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Energy Engineering, and CFD.
Areas of interest:
CFD, numerical modeling of processes and systems, solar thermal power plant, and hydrogen.
