Jenny Cifuentes received her PhD in Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and her PhD in Industrial Automation from INSA de Lyon (INSA), France in 2015. She has been visiting researcher in the Computer Science Department of the University of Alberta in Canadá, and in the research Group of Analysis, Security and Systems (GASS) of Universidad Complutense de Madrid . Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Santander Big Data Institute associated to the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid and visiting researcher in the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid. Her professional experience includes the participation of both national and international research projects and both, public and private financing, including the H2020 project RAMSES. Author of international publications in journals like Journal of translational medicine, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IET Science and Measurement & Technology, among others. Her main interests are the modeling and analysis of dynamical systems, signal processing and pattern recognition using machine learning strategies.
