Biography:
Andrés Oviedo-Gómez is a postdoctoral researcher at Instituto de Inestigación Tecnológica (IIT), Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería ICAI, Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering with an emphasis in Electric and Electronic Engineering (2023) from the Universidad del Valle, Colombia. He is an Electronic Engineering (2014) from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali, Colombia, and holds a master's degree in Applied Economics from Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia.
He had been a professor and researcher at Universidad del Valle since 2017, focusing on topics related to statistics, data management, and modeling energy and electricity markets.
Areas of interest:
Energy markets, electricity markets, modeling of electricity market indicators, time series analysis, and decision support models in the electricity sector.
