Biography:
Was graduated with the degree in Electronic Engineering in 1995 from ICAI School of Engineering (Comillas Pontifical University), Master in International Cooperation in 1997 (IUDC - Complutense University of Madrid), Executive MBA in 2000 (ICADE Business School - Comillas Pontifical University), in Driving Government Performance 2012 (IESE Business School and Harvard Kennedy School of Government) and MSc. in Energy and Power Systems. In Comillas Pontifical University he has been Director of the International Relations Office and Coordination Manager of the Erasmus Mundus programmes: International Master in Economics and Management of Network Industries (EMIN) and Joint Doctorate in Sustainable Energy Technologies and Strategies (SETS), and R&D international projects manager in the Research Transfer Centre. Since December 2012 he is research assistant at the IIT. His pro–bono activities include the presidency of the Spanish Federation of Fair Trade, and he has been co-founder and board member of several social enterprises and Third Sector organizations as Engineers Without Borders Association, Solidarte Inc., Forum for Solidarity, and member of the advisory committee of Energy Without Borders Foundation.
Areas of interest:
His areas of interest are focused in technlogy for development and energy poverty, specially in the electrification of isolated areas and in the regulation, technologies and business models for universal access to modern energy services - area in which he develops his doctoral research - and in the role of enterprises, new economy and technology for development.
