Biography:

Isabel Mateos Moreno holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Salamanca and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid.

She worked as a predoctoral and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Plant Molecular Genetics at the National Center for Biotechnology (CSIC) and at the Hispanic-Portuguese Center for Agricultural Research of the University of Salamanca.

Since 2020, she has been a faculty member in the Department of Agri-Food Production at Comillas-INEA, where she teaches General Biology, Agricultural Botany, Agroecosystem Ecology, and Plant Genetics and Biotechnology in the Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering.

She is a collaborating member of the Emerging Contaminants and Resource Valorization Research Group (Comillas-ICAI).

Her research focuses on the sustainability of resources in agroecosystems, with the aim of optimizing plant nutrition.
