Energy communities have a fundamental role in the transition of energy systems and contribute to their flexibility. The selected person will be part of a team with extensive knowledge of the electricity sector in the development of medium-term management models for the operation of the electricity system to analyze the impact of energy communities on the said operation.
We offer:
Full-time annual contract to carry out research projects complemented by training activities. This modality allows the pre-doctoral researcher to establish a very close professional relationship with the electricity sector, thus nourishing his research with the experience accumulated during the project. Initially, this modality does not necessarily imply that the predoctoral researcher joins a PhD program directly. Admission to a doctoral program can be applied for during the first two years. The predoctoral researcher is hired every year for a maximum period of six years. The contract of a predoctoral researcher who is not enrolled in a PhD program cannot exceed two years. The gross salary for the first year is €25,020.62 for the year 2022. Additionally, the IIT covers 90% of the fees for training activities, and you will have access to all the services offered by the University (Sports, Cultural Activities, Library, etc.).
Requirements:
Interest in applied research (optimization techniques and electricity market) and programming. Master's degree in industrial engineering with a specialty in electrical engineering or master's degree in applied mathematics or physics. Speak and write Spanish perfectly and have an advanced level of English, as well as a good academic record and facility for teamwork. Knowledge of Python will be appreciated.
