The selected candidate will join the Intelligent Systems research area (IIT), collaborate in the development of mobile robots for teaching laboratories in the Department of Electronics, Control and Communications (DEAC) and will participate in promotional activities of Comillas Pontifical University related to mobile robotics. The main research activity will focus on the development of advanced strategies for autonomous navigation and cooperative tasks for mobile robots, both terrestrial and aerial. Priority will be given to a practical orientation of the research work, always seeking industrial applications of the strategies and algorithms that will be developed. Thanks to the work carried out, the selected candidate will acquire knowledge about hardware and software of mobile robots, machine learning and deep learning techniques, communications in complex systems, simulation in virtual environments, and system integration.
We are offering:
Annual full-time contract for 3 years, including health-insurance. The candidate will be able to develop his/her doctoral studies within the framework of this project in a truly multidisciplinary environment. The gross salary of the first year is € 25.020. In addition, the IIT covers 90% of the cost of the doctoral training activities and the candidate will have access to all the services offered by the University (Sports, Cultural Activities, Library, etc.).
Requirements:
A master’s degree in engineering. The academic record corresponding to the degree provided as well as knowledge about programming, especially in C/C++, Python and MATLAB, will be considered.
