Nudging an efficient CO2 neutral electricity system (NudgeCO2free)

This PhD thesis will be based on future electricity system scenarios that replicate the technical characteristics of future generation technologies, storage, and demand-side and on market design and regulations that provide economic signals that function as coordination means to guide investments and operations. One of the main objectives is to evaluate different pricing alternatives in a CO2-neutral electricity system, mainly characterised by low marginal costs and high investment costs. To validate the proposed solutions, customer behaviour feedback and social acceptance of different technologies and price signals will be assessed.
