Development of a smart environment for asset management in power grids
The selected candidate will work on a research project related to asset management, reliability, life and maintenance of components for electrical transmission and distribution networks. Specifically, work will be carried out on an international project in which an “open source” type tool in Python to help manage power grid assets will be developed. The candidate will be integrated into a large team of researchers. The work areas in which this research is framed are the following:

Requirements:
Master degree. Knowledge of electrical power systems, as well as programming with Python and Matlab would be highly valued. Excellent spoken and written English.
It offers: Annual full-time contract for the development of projects. In addition, training activities may be carried out. This modality allows the researcher in training to establish a very close professional relationship with the companies with which he collaborates. There will be the possibility of accessing a pre-doctoral contract. In that case, the researcher in training is hired each year for a maximum total period of six years. The gross salary of the first year is € 24,410.00. Additionally, the IIT covers 90% of the rates of the training activities and will have access to all the services offered by the University (Sports, Cultural Activities, Library, etc.).
