Analysis and operation of power systems with high penetration of renewable resources
The selected candidate will work in Research projects related to the analysis and operation of power systems will high penetration of renewable resources, including steady-state analysis and dynamic simulation. Specifically, the selected candidate will work in a project with an international entity of renewable energies. The selected candidate will join to a team of researchers. The responsibilities of the position include the following studies:
Requirements:
Master degree. Good knowledge and strong motivation in scripting and simulation. Knowledge in scriptig with Matlab and Python and in the power-system tools PSS/E and PowerFactory (DigSILENT) are welcome. Excellent spoken and written English.
It offers: Annual full-time contract for the development of projects. In addition, training activities may be carried out. This modality allows the researcher in training to establish a very close professional relationship with the companies with which he collaborates. There will be the possibility of accessing a pre-doctoral contract. In that case, the researcher in training is hired each year for a maximum total period of six years. The gross salary of the first year is € 24,410.00. Additionally, the IIT covers 90% of the rates of the training activities and will have access to all the services offered by the University (Sports, Cultural Activities, Library, etc.).
