Analysis, simulation, control and management of hybrid AC-DC urban microgrids and research on enabling techologies

The candidate will work in the analysis, simulation, control and management of hybrid AC-DC urban micro-grids and will carry out research in advanced technologies that could contribute to a more flexible operation of electric power systems in the future.

The offer consist in a full-time contract associated to the research programme P2018/EMT-4366 PROMINT-CM (Smart micro-grids in Madrid) awarded by Comunidad de Madrid. It is expected that the candidate will join the postgraduate programme of the University to complete a Ph.D. in a topic closely related to the project.

Requirements: Master engineering degree, experience with power electronics design will be valued positively. Candidates should have (or be close to obtain) the academic requirements to join the PhD programme in Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid. Good English level (understanding, writing and speaking)
