Biography:

Juan M Asensio-Gil studied the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (Mechanical Engineering), the Master´s Degree in Industrial Engineering, and the Master´s Degree in Engineering for Mobility and Safety in the Comillas Pontifical University. He has a research background in human modelling, biomechanical behaviour, optimization, and High-Performance Computing. Currently, he focuses on the study of bioengineering applied to vulnerable road users and autonomous vehicle users.


Areas of interest:

Bioengineering, road safety, numerical simulations, human modelling.


Experience:

Siemens Digital Industries Software(2021-2022). Diversity for human modelling: development of a female 50th percentile human body model with active musculature in Simcenter Madymo. Biomechanical validation and redefinition of the Simcenter Madymo pedestrian model for Euro NCAP’s Pedestrian Test Protocol.
Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) Area of Bioengineering (2020-2021). Development of a FEM for mechanical optimization in scaffold structures for bone tissue regeneration. PhD assistance in the development of a graphene-reinforced biocompatible resin fabrication process for bone tissue regeneration.
Comillas Pontifical University Area of Bioengineering (2020-2021). Comparative and statistical study of mechanical properties in endodontic files. CAD and CAE assistance in the development and optimization of a prosthetic leg for dogs.
Comillas Pontifical University Area of Numerical Simulations (2020-2022). Research on High-Performance Computing through batch mode. ANSYS and LS-DYNA.
