Biography:

Saziye BAL was born in Turkey in 1993. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 2016 from Selçuk University and a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 2019 from Pamukkale University. During her Master's, she worked as a Research Assistant in the core courses of planning fields, such as urban planning studios and heritage conservation. She developed her Master's thesis about the sustainable management of integrated heritage areas within the example of Troia Natural Park. She currently studies for her Ph.D. and works as a full-time researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences (ICADE), Department of Business Management.


Areas of interest:

Energy poverty, energy vulnerability, energy justice and spatial policy, energy communities, sustainable management


Experience:

04/2017- 02/2020 Research Assistant at Pamukkale University. She worked as an assistant in the urban planning department and assisted in several courses during her master

02/2020 - 07/2023 Research Assistant at Yıldız Technical University. She worked as an assistant in the urban planning department and assisted in core courses in urban planning.
