Biografía:
Timo Gerres nació en Hamm (Alemania) en 1989. Obtuvo su B.Sc. en Ingeniería Empresarial en la Universität Paderborn (DE) en 2011. Tuvo sus primeras experiencias en el sector de energía trabajando como analista comercial para el grupo EuroDev (NL). En 2014, obtuvo su M.Sc. in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis & Management por la TU Delft (NL). Después trabajó por 2.5 años como director de proyectos para el gestor de la red de transporte TenneT en Alemania. En abril de 2017 se incorporó como investigador Predoctoral al Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas. En enero 2022 defendió su tesis doctoral titulada “Understanding the implications of industrial decarbonisation: a multidisciplinary approach towards the transition of the basic materials industry and its impact on our energy systems.” Es miembro de la Cátedra de Estudios sobre el Hidrógeno y sus proyectos de investigación y consultoría en curso se enfoquen en las dimensiones técnicas, económicas y regulatorias de la transición y especialmente su rol en la descarbonización de la industria de materias primas.
