The proposed endeavor will involve the following types of activities:
1. Foundation Research Study and Generation of Papers:
1.1 Foster deep understanding of current generative AI applications in banking and financial institutions focused on customer experience.
1.2 Conduct comprehensive analysis of potential areas for Generative AI implementation within banking customer journeys, especially the ones with the potential for significant improvement over existing techniques.
2. Design, develop, test, and enhance Technical Prototypes for:
2.1 AI models that conceptualize, specify, create, and make quality assessments of hypothesis, supported by wild data from the Internet and context-delimited- data from Itaú. The focus and thrust of these models will be selected in a collaborative mode.
2.2 Generative models that suggest and create drafts of UI/UX improvements for the banking application over a set of pre-coding interface elements.
3. Joint Papers and Other Publications:
3.1 Jointly write and enhance collaborative research papers detailing the methodologies, findings, and innovations achieved during the partnership.
The above work will be performed mainly by multiple MIT EECS graduate and undergraduate students, supervised by Dr. Amar Gupta and co-supervised by Dr. Rafael Palacios. Both professors have prior experience in utilizing AI techniques within the banking and financial sectors and have collaborated on similar projects.
