Resumen:
A linear regression model obtained by a two-level fractional factorial design (FFD) based on FDS numerical models is presented to assess six full-scale fire tests. The heat release rate, the exhaust flow rate, the exhaust location, the exhaust system activation time, the pan location and the inlet vents area are chosen as variables. The non-steady temperature profile of the smoke temperature at 15 m high close to wall A has been predicted and compared with the six full-scale fire tests, being the maximum discrepancy of 11º (17%). Therefore, FFD technique can be considered as a good tool for fire engineering to establish limits when the fire scenarios are unalike.
