Resumen:

A revision of the different models presented in the literature to produce wind speed time series for dynamic analysis in power systems is made. A simple but effective model to generate dynamic wind speed time series is presented. This model is based on the generation of a low frequency component and a high frequency component. The low frequency component is simply produced from a random process based on a typical 1h forecasting probability function. The high frequency component is produced from a random process based on a Beta probability function whose limits and asymmetry are adjusted dynamically by a simple and well defined procedure. No state equations or spectral power density functions are used. The number of parameters is reduced, most of them usually at hand when studying wind generation.
