The BP Chair on Energy and Sustainability research group is working on the MASTER model, which is a Strategic Energy Planning Model used to design and assess energy policies to reach a net-zero carbon economy. The student will work on the formulation, programming and improvement of the MASTER energy model in Python, which may include the programming of the model code, input data processing, and visualization of results. Finally, the student is expected to develop a case study in line with decarbonization plans for Spain. It is important that the student has prior knowledge of Python.
