Analysis of the decarbonization pathway for the services sector in Spain in 2030 and 2050.

The commitment made by the European Union to achieve emissions neutrality by 2050 means that Spain is obliged to set out a path to decarbonize its economy, with the services sector being a major challenge due to its importance as the driving force of the Spanish economy. This project will characterize the energy demand of the services sector in Spain at present and its possible future evolution, with a special focus on 2030 and 2050. In a second stage, this characterization will be transferred to the logic of an optimization model for the entire energy sector so that future decarbonization scenarios can be analyzed.
