Advanced study of the performance of restraint system components in car safety management

Through the analysis of a database composed of more than 1500 crash tests, conducted by the NHTSA, the study seeks to quantify the effect of each component of the restraint systems in a car. The objective of the project is to apply "Machine Learning" algorithms to a very varied database, in order to better understand how each component affects the reduction of injuries of the occupants. This study seeks to optimize the future development of automotive safety systems, by providing a method to quantify the influence of different restraint system components in an early stage of the development process.
