Data augmentation of the NASS Crashworthiness Data System (CDS) to investigate the effect of advanced restraints in preventing injuries

Using artificial intelligence algorithms previously developed, the student will be responsible for matching the cases included in the NASS CDS with the information obtained from the NHTSA crash test database to augment the data available from real world crashes. Then the student will carry out an assessment of the effect of advanced restraint systems in the safety of vehicles using methods based on logistic regression. The project will be carried out within a collaborative project with Porsche.
