Decentralized energy communities are expected to flourish in Europe in the coming years due to technological, political and social drivers. A previous master thesis developed a first prototype that uses blockchain to settle transactions within a small energy community with its own generation and storage capacity. At the same time, different international pilots that use blockchain are under development. This project will continue the development of a blockchain-based application for energy communities including new products and assets to the system, adding different communities configurations, evaluating different technologies and developing a visual interface for the solution.
