Comparing optimal power for the provision of flexibility by distribution system
Generation connected to the distribution grid is increasing. This generation can provide ancillary services such as primary freuency control. The distribution system operator (DSO) needs to guarantee the evacuation of these services. This can be formulated as an optimal power flow problem. This project implements an OPF in MatPower and compares the results with an in-house tool.
