Femur fractures in obese occupants: a quantification of the risk matching obese occupants with non-obese occupants and 50th percentile ATDs

This study will investigate the risk obese occupants face in the Knee-Thigh-Hip (KTH) region during motor vehicle crashes. Obese occupants will be matched to non-obese and 50th percentile anthropometric test devices (ATDs). Collision, vehicle, and occupant-level variables will be analyzed and those deemed significant will be considered in the matching. The risk faced by these occupants will be estimated and compared.
