Modeling, analysis and control of power systems with large share of non-synchronous generation

Penetration of RES based on non-synchronous generators is increasing. The interaction of non-synchronous generators with the power system is different to the one of synchronous generators, requiring adaption of operation, control and protection of current power systems. The successful candidate will carry out research and co-supervise PhD students in modeling, analysis and control of power systems with large share of non-synchronous generation and hybrid AC/DC transmission. The candidate will support and eventually lead projects on integration of RES in power systems in island and interconnected systems in collaboration with the industry and intergovernmental agencies. Research line on hybrid AC/DC transmission will be further developed by the candidate.

Profile:
We are looking for a brilliant and motivated post-doc to carry out research and co-supervise PhD students. We offer a full-time contract of initially 36 months duration and an initial yearly gross salary of € 33012 in a stimulating and warm environment. Starting date is September/October 2021.
