The ultimate objective of this project is identifying the factors affecting the evolution of the losses compensation perceived by the Spanish system within the inter-TSO compensation mechanism in place in the EU. First, the potentially relevant explanatory variables will be identified. Afterwards, we shall determine the influence of each of these variables on the evolution of the losses compensation for Spain. At the end of the project we should be able to explain the historic evolution of the losses compensation as well as predict its future evolution based on the value of the explanatory variables previously identified.
